4. Data collection on this website
CookiesOur website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not damage your device. They are either temporarily stored for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third parties (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies allow the integration of certain services from third parties within websites (e.g. cookies for the processing of payment services).
Cookies have different functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used for the evaluation of user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication process, for the provision of certain, desired functions (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or for the optimization of the website (e.g. cookies for measuring web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent for the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, the processing will be based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); consent is revocable at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Server log filesThe provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the computer accessing
- Time of the server request
- IP address
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free representation and optimization of his website - for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
Comment function on this websiteIn addition to your comment, the time of creation of the comment and, if you do not post anonymously, the username you have chosen will be stored for the comment function on this page.
Duration of storage of commentsThe comments and associated data are stored and remain on this website until the commented content is completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. insulting comments).
Legal basisThe storage of comments is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke any consent you have given at any time. This is sufficient to send an informal message by e-mail to us. The legality of the data processing operations carried out to date shall remain unaffected by the revocation.
5. Analysis tools and advertising
MatomoThis website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo.
With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website by visitors. This allows us to find out, for example, when which page views were made and from which region they come from. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser and operating systems used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offerings and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing will only take place based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TKG, as long as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of TKG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
IP anonymizationIn the analysis with Matomo, we use IP anonymization. In this process, your IP address is shortened before the analysis so that it is no longer uniquely assignable to you.
Cookieless analysisWe have configured Matomo so that it does not store cookies in your browser.
HostingWe host Matomo exclusively on our own servers, so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.
Newsletter DataIf you wish to receive the newsletter offered on our website, we require your email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected or only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for the purpose of sending the requested information and do not disclose it to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form is based solely on your consent (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a of the GDPR). You can revoke the consent given for the storage of the data, the email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example by using the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you have provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter or the newsletter distribution list is deleted. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest under Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR.
Data that has been stored with us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is only used for this purpose and is not combined with other data. This serves both your and our interest in complying with legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interests.
